Schibel Teaching Farm and Childcare Center

Schibel Teaching Farm is celebrating their 3rd year as a certified Nature Explore Classroom.

The Nature Explore Classroom at Schibel Teaching Farm has become one of parents favorite part of the school. Adding stepping logs to the outdoor classroom has created a fun place to walk across that even the two year olds can maneuver.

A permanent greenhouse is on the wish-list for spring. Schibel Teaching Farm has applied for grants to help purchase this structure. With this added component in the outdoor classroom, the children will gain knowledge of the full effect of the work they are doing in the gardens.

Spring and Fall Cleaning Days keep the site maintained and looking great. With parents who want to be involved in any way they can, there is always an abundance of help. Every three months, a parent day is planned where adults can come and play with their children and have a delicious meal. This allows the parents to have a better understanding of why it is so important that their children have an opportunity to connect with nature on a daily basis. Parents are also grateful that their children have the opportunity to eat healthy foods, get dirty and plant vegetables.
