Construction of the Doris I. Schnuck Children’s Garden←Back to Missouri Botanical Garden info
The Missouri Botanical Garden’s design began with an on-site consultation to create a Nature Explore Classroom that is well-suited to available space, both physically and aesthetically.
The Nature Explore Classroom enhances a popular area for younger visitors to the Children’s Garden.
Following Principles 1 and 5 for a well-designed outdoor space, the Missouri Botanical Garden Nature Explore Classroom has developed clearly defined activity areas where overall visibility is unobstructed.
The Missouri Botanical Garden used a mix of young and old vegetation, combined with interesting fencing and dividers, to add beauty and visual clarity in the Nature Explore Classroom’s over-all design.
Different Nature Explore Classroom activity areas are separated by a variety of materials and structures, giving the space a look and feel unique to the Missouri Botanical Garden.
